Janice DiPietro

Janice DiPietro is the Managing Partner of the Boston office of
Tatum Partners. Tatum
Partners is the only national firm of financial and
information technology partners whose sole mission is to accelerate
companies, institutions, and public entities through specific
transitions.
Our 400 partners, all highly successful CFOs and CIOs, bring depth
of both real operating and transition experience to our clients,
which
range from emerging growth companies to large multinational
corporations. The foundation of our unique service model is the
transition
experience of each partner, the peer-level, intellectual capital
support they provide each other, and our ability to provide highly
flexible
engagement structures, including interim, project, and permanently
employed financial and IT executives.
Ms. DiPietro is responsible for developing and managing the
firm's practice in Boston and the New England area. Ms. DiPietro has
had
extensive experience in managing and developing a professional
services organization and is a Senior Executive with over twenty
years of
financial and operational experience, servicing start-up companies
to large multinational companies. This experience spans a spectrum
of
industries, including technology, manufacturing and service
organizations. Ms. DiPietro uniquely combines a keen sense of
strategic
positioning with financial control and operational management. She
has successfully managed rapid growth, as well as the difficulties
of restructuring.
Prior to joining Tatum Partners, Ms. DiPietro served as Executive
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NewDeal Inc, an early
stage software and Internet Company. Ms. DiPietro assisted the
Company in securing in excess of $50 million of equity financing and
positioned the company for future growth by establishing critical
financial and operational functions. Ms. DiPietro was also asked to
serve
as President of GreenPC, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of NewDeal
engaged in high tech manufacturing. This manufacturing division,
under Ms. DiPietro's leadership, began operations within 120 days of
conception and exceeded initial sales projections by 30%.
Ms. DiPietro also served as Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of P&C Quality Turned Components, a mid-market
high
tech manufacturing company serving the telecommunications, microwave
and automotive industries. Ms. DiPietro was instrumental in
altering the strategic direction of the company, leading to the
divestiture of several lines of business. The divestitures were
concluded
within the timeframe anticipated and for a price that exceeded
expectations by 25%. She also implemented a seven-day workweek
improving manufacturing throughput and asset utilization, while
reducing overall operating costs by 30%.
Ms. DiPietro was founder and CEO for thirteen years of JD
Consulting. During her tenure, the firm experienced rapid growth and
was
successfully sold. This consulting firm serviced early stage to
mid-market clients in all aspects of financial, operational and
strategic
management. The firm was instrumental in assisting clients in
securing debt and equity financing, improving financial management
and
internal control, implementing state of the art information systems,
restructuring operations as necessary and expanding into the global
marketplace. The results of these initiatives included increased
sales, improved manufacturing throughput and customer retention,
cost
reductions and overall increased profitability. Ms. DiPietro has
assisted numerous organizations in a variety of merger and
acquisition
activities, with a particular focus
on organization integration.
Ms. DiPietro began her career with the Boston office of Ernst &
Young where she rapidly progressed to Senior Manager. While at Ernst
&
Young Ms. DiPietro served as a Practice Leader in the firm's health
care and technology practice. She also was considered a SEC
reporting
specialist, servicing large multi national clients. She serviced a
diverse client base including Children's Hospital of Boston, EG & G,
Textron
and State Street Bank.
Ms. DiPietro graduated with honors from Bentley College and holds an
MBA and Doctoral degree in Accounting from Boston University.
Ms. DiPietro also serves as a guest lecturer and Executive Education
Instructor for a number of the leading Boston area universities.
A CPA, Ms. DiPietro has served on the Board of Directors of several
non-profit organizations and enjoys working with children in her
community as a soccer coach and religious education instructor.
